Many people like different animals for pets. Some like lizards, while others tame beasts. What pets do you like?

Shame this wasn't multiple choice as I have:

(2) Dogs

(1) Cat

(1) Horse

(1) Pot Belly Pig

(1) Blue Fronted Amazon Parrot

Thank you for that Ace! How about a multiple choice option?

I grew up on a farm, so I'm fond of most animals. My first pet was a rooster. His name was Rooster. I wasn't a very creative kid.

I had a large (55 gallon?) fish tank that I'd put anything I caught in my pond in, from crawdads to catfish. I've had a variety of livestock and fowl, from chickens to peacocks. Currently though, the only pet I have is a husky named Laredo.

Have to tell you this post really made me smile. The husky breed is so beautiful and I love the name of your dog!

Thanks.

He's an awesome dog, but horribly spoiled. I got him because he was the runt of the litter and had some health problems at the time, mainly his 3rd and 4th vertebrate didn't have cartilage between them. I was told that he probably wouldn't live through the night at one point, and I should just put him down. I went with the alternative route of him getting shots between them (Can't remember what the stuff was called now). He'll be 12 in march, and you can't tell anything was ever wrong with him.

Edit: Picture of him. http://i.imgur.com/ESO2s.jpg

1st of all I just want to say well done for taking on this dog as not a lot of people would risk taking on a poorly runt & you have 1 lucky dog to find a owner like you which did not put the dog down & gave it every chance & now at the great age of 12

Lovely pic of a lovely looking dog. Love the Tie

Thanks. I seem to be a sucker for animals. More than half of the ones I've had were cast out by someone/something else.

He got raised with a baby raccoon who's mother was hit on the road. It made it very hard to keep them out of things.

It was a ton of fun. We kept her until she was old enough to release. Everything in the house had to have child proof locks on it.

I've got 2 cats. They're good pets when they're in the mood to be good pets.

Yeah, cats have a habit of running off and doing their own thing. Usually they return once you put out the cat nip.

So sorry that all five had to run out on you.
