Private/incognito browsing

I don't.

There's no point.

Computer programs like the infamous ECHELON, and its clones and descendants can track back each and every THING that touches the Net all the way back to the individual device. No matter what sort of encryption and anonymization you use, they can follow the datastream to its end point, in real time.

The only way to really and truly stay incognito on the Web is to stay off the Web.

What's the point of me using Private Browsing on my own laptop? Nobody can't even get on it because I have it locked with a password that only I know. :P

Well, you and the NSA, the manufacturer, Google and various advertisers... ... ...

Pre-installed malware is malicious software that is put on a machine before it is delivered to the user.

New devices are usually assumed to be uncompromised but there are numerous reports of malicious software existing on new hardware. Malware may be installed on computing devices by disgruntled employees, organized crime figures, government officials or the manufacturer.

There really is no point to this at all..

In all honesty nothing is private and hasn't been for quite some time.

I always use the Private/incognito while browsing websites where I would financial transactions.
.

Sometimes I use it, but I usually don't. I often forget it even exists until something reminds me of its existence, but even then, I don't have much use for it, if any.

I tend to use incognito mode for logging into other accounts on my main machine, or when I am browsing on a guest/public machine.

or when I am browsing on a guest/public machine.

I have a computer at work to check my emails, put in work-orders, etc. I strictly use it for that. I know they can track everything I am doing, so if I need to google something or want to check this forum, I'll just whip out my trusty iPhone. I don't login into their WiFi either, I use my own data (its unlimited anyway).
