Radon is a gas that can cause lung cancer if exposed to it for a long time. A lot of homes in the US can have it, depending on which state you live in. My state, unfortunately, is one of those states. I take care of a lot of home maintenance, but have always neglected to check our radon levels. We have a mitigation system, but is it working? I ordered an electronic monitor to find out. I'll update the numbers once we get it running.

Has anyone ever tested for radon in their home? Have a mitigation system put in?

Our alarm system has many different monitoring attachments and a built-in reminder to test everything every six months.
It's a great feature.
