Almost every forum/community has a feedback section, which is great! One problem... most forums do not accept constructive criticism very well. When you provide your members with a feedback section, I believe you should be accepting to others' ideas and never jump to conclusions before seeing what others think. I've seen a whole lot of communities that have feedback sections were its sole purpose is to justify every fault or suggestion that will not be put into place. Another problem with a feedback section is most forums are only willing to accept positive feedback, but become really defensive whenever it is about fault with their forum.

If you can not take criticism, take down the feedback section.

That's true. I hate that when you post a feedback on a forum, and it automatically gets trashed right away. Either try to fix the problem at hand or don't reply to the feedback at all.

Ive noticed on some forums.. When someone makes a suggestion, everyone else tries to prove to them how pointless and stupid their idea is (without actually saying it).. Even if its a good suggestion.

I have had that happen to me so many times.

Actually it seems pretty common on almost every board I go to.. Which is why I rarely post feedback or suggestions.

I like to give feedback and suggrstions on forums, but I will only do this if I feel it will help improve the community. I remeber when I was moderator on a forum a guy posted a suggestion stating the staff should have there own private forum, iit made me laugh.

Most forums do have a private staff forum.

That does seem to be a problem at a lot of forums, I don't think I have that problem but hard to say unbiasedly.

Didn't anyone tell you the real purpose of a feedback forum is for you to post what you want so everyone else can show you how you can live without it?
