seen an animal being mistreated?

The last place I lived. They had a dog that the left chained on a very short chain in the back yard. I'd hear the dog crying all day and I'd peek through the fence and see the dog wrapped his short chain around the pole and could only stand next to the pole without being able to move. I called animal control on them.
If I see anyone hurting a animal....high kick. I seriously hate animal abuse.
Can't say that I have. Even if I did, there's nothing I could've done about it. Animal cruelty is illegal on paper, but it's just another pointless law no one even bothers to enforce properly. I'd even get in trouble myself if I tried to intervene.
Thankfully I've never seen anyone mistreat an animal, and if I did I would immediately intervene. I don't like animal abusers.

How about the cops? Can/Will the sheriff take the animal away from the insane son-of-a-bitch? Animal control is negligent & the tax-sucking employees need to be canned!

I've called animal control on them 4 times because they let their dogs out loose and don't watch them. Animal control won't come get them because their dogs are not hostile and have stated because the kennels are full.
How sad. It sucks when the authorities wont help. makes you feel helpless.
In my area, animal cruelty is quite a frequent thing. You can't see a cat or a dog without it's tail missing, or being punched, stones being thrown at it, etc. There are even instances of kids force feeding puppies chocolate, and well.. you know it's not good for them. One girl I knew decided to put her puppy in the microwave

How sad. Someone needs to teach those cruel people in your community some morals!
We had a stray come into the yard and wouldn't leave. The police pretty much told us to dump it somewhere else since it's not ours. I was like, that doesn't help.
