Does slow service and weird/unpleasant atmosphere affect your dining experience?
Would you go back to a restaurant that was guilty of these things?
The other day I went to a fast food place and there was a (what looked like a) 14 year old girl running the register. She was soooo slow and confused and kept apologizing for her incompetence. There was another customer who was standing there getting upset because other people (who ordered after her) were getting their food already. Not sure when she actually got her food but it was a long wait, longer than anyone else. Anyway, after standing in line for like 15 minutes, I was able to order. I ordered a meal and a ice cream. I get my order and it was a meal (that included fries) with a side order of more fries. I assume she hit the fry button instead of the ice cream button on the register. I wasn't about to go up and complain because it probably would have take forever to get my order fixed, so I just ate the extra fries. There was a TV right next to our table and it was showing something about children with cleft palates. Kind of a strange thing to look at while you're eating. So yeah, my dining experience at this fast food place was slow (was in there for over an hour), the order was wrong and the atmosphere was strange. Will I go back? Maybe, but hopefully different people will be working and something pleasant will be on TV if/when I do go back.
