What kinds of things are said in your super secret staff forums?

Do you use this space to solely talk business? Chit chat with the staff? Gossip? All of the above?

Probably post lots of pictures of porn... Joking.

I have used staff forums to store moderation guides or for staff to talk about how to deal with particular members.

Pretty much just a place to post notes, get ideas, give any guidance that might be needed, and sure, have a little chat now and then. Gotta' have a good team relationship :)

I don't have any specific forums for the staff. I have nnever consideredcreating a different forrum for the staff. That's because I do not have a lot of staff. In fact I have staff only on one forum and I have just 2 staff.

Even if you only have one staff member its good to have a staff forum. If you're just PM'ing each other about board issues and problem members that can get messy and unorganized. Better to keep it all in a specific forum.

Prior, I would use it to discuss particular members and ideas for the forum itself, however, nowadays, I find that it has outlived its actual purpose as a tool. I'm more likely to be upfront and ask the whole class about ideas nowadays, instead of the Staff. Also, through Discord, Facebook Messenger, and the other ways to talk and talk quickly, it has rendered it moot - the same can be said about forums, but we don't talk about that.

With that logic you don't even need a forum in the first place, you can just do all your chatting on 3rd party sources instead. Create a discord server :P
