When you start your computer, how long does it take for it to load up?

My laptop is fast once it has been started, but it takes at least 5 minutes for it to boot up. After I turn it on it loads up but all these programs also have to load which slows the computer down until they've fully loaded. If I click on the internet or anything before it's fully loaded up, it will take even longer.

Less than 5 minutes I think, it's gotten slower with all the stuff I've been putting on it over the years...

Was longer than 10 minutes. I removed anything nonessential from the list of programs that start up each time I started my computer. It now takes less than 5 minutes.

Take's about 2minute's.

Always try to keep your computer clean, & optimized.

Ccleaner I like this little software really easy to use, an cleans a lot for most PC user's when they first run the program. - http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Advance System Care This is another cleaner an optimizer i use, the free edition is great but i perfer the paid version for the deep cleaning option is has. - http://www.iobit.com/advancedsystemcareper.html

Malwarebytes This program is a must to keep your computer safe, from malware - http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Also always remember to defrag your hard drives at least once every two weeks or once month if you can. By defragging your computer will have faster response times. Also try not to have to many program starting up with windows that is a big slow down for most computers.

A minute.

If its taking you 5 minutes. Go to CMD>> type in msconfig >> go to the startup tab and uncheck unnecessary applications

It starts as soon as I press the power button.

However it wont let me do anything for about 5 minutes.

Like ten minutes.

It used to boot up in about two, but one day it randomly crashed and it's been slow starting up ever since

(and McAfee said it had no viruses)

My MacBook takes anything from 30 to 50 seconds and my PC 40 to a minute. Which is strange since my PC blows my MacBook away specs wise.
