Ever heard of Steam Punk? Ever seen people dressed in their Steam Punk attire?

I've heard some about it. There's actually a comic I've reviewed called Red Angel that does Steam Punk.

Must say I've never heard of steam-punk. Interesting the things they use in their attire.

Kind of looks like a mix of Goth and the old Victorian era.

Exactly.

Steam power taken to the logical extreme, and all that implies.

If you remember the Wild Wild West remake with Will Smith, or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, those were 'steampunk-ish' movies.

And, while we're on the subject....

I had hit on a blank wall with the new book. I had the gist of an idea, but no vehicle for it. I could not answer the central question about how the story I wanted to tell came about.

Now I can.

Thank you Miss Jazzy.

@DrLeftover: Not sure how I helped you but happy that I could!

I've heard of it. Haven't seen it IRL... yet (you never know).

I think it's pretty cool, wouldn't dress up like that myself, but the genre is pretty cool.

That was indeed some impressive steam power.

What a beautiful home! I just love the way they mixed Victorian with modern. The kitchen is fabulous and I could see myself in there cooking. I clicked the link for further information on this home: http://www.modvic.com/Steampunk.aspx. I would love to be able to set up a personal viewing of this awesome home!

Great find, DrLeftover, and thank you so much for sharing it!

I love steampunk stuff. I've done a few steampunkish projects myself, and I always have stocks of brass and copper around for when I make things to give it that kind of feel.

One my my favorite steampunk things I've seen made is this keyboard:

I love this keyboard! Do you have any pictures that you can share of some of the steampunkish projects you've made?
