What are your opinion on swearing?

Where do you draw the line on what is alright and what is not?

I swear a lot when I'm at home

But I know when to not swear....

I don't swear generally, Only if i'm annoyed or something, I don't know XD

I don't swear in front of my parenst though other then that, yeah I do swear quite a lot

I don't usually swear--only with great provocation....

I had a friend that had never heard me swear, but something really, really, really ticked me off and I said something....He looked surprised and said What did you say? lol.

As to whether people should swear in public--I suppose that's entirely up to them.

I swear a lot, but I try not to do it in places where people would deem it offensive.

I swear, but I don't around young children and elderly. Why cause a scene? I don't have a problem with it. Freedom of speech.. etc. Other people swearing doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights, so it's fine.

I swear quite often, but I do not see anything wrong with it.

I only swear around the right people. Its not really a huge part of my vocabulary though. Its not purposely.. its just when I am speaking naturally, foul language doesn't seem to come out of my mouth too often.

I think it's wrong to swear in front of small children, but not everyone agrees with me on that. One time I got acalled a penny hooker by a kid about two and a half feet tall and in grade one. I wish he'd been older and taller. I'd have laid him flat. children should not be learning this kind of language!

I don't do it at school, in my uniform, or in any situation which might affect other people negatively. Like kindergartens. I swear around my friends, because they do it, and none of us mind. I don't swear AT people though, at least I try not to.

I grew up in the middle of nowhere around a bunch on men who mined. That being said I swear like a sailor and though I've been able to lessen my swearing there are still times where I will accidentally swear in front of people whom I probably shouldn't. Since my head injury back in 2018 I've had a difficult time processing what I'm going to say before I say it (so I don't really have filter and it isn't because I don't want to have one, it's just something my brain no longer has the function or capability of doing.) because of that I tend to swear without really meaning to or even wanting to at times.

I'll be honest, having a traumatic brain injury can be quite annoying and frustrating at times because I will blurt out things that definitely should be kept to myself but I just don't have the ability to stop myself from saying it. I've gotten used to it throughout the years but when I meet new people it's always something that catches them off guard lol. Keeps things interesting that's for sure.

Swearing is the best fucking thing to ever happen to this bitch of a planet! 😂

Funny enough, I was talking to my mom yesterday who told me that when I was a little guy, she had asked my grandma to stop swearing so much because I was starting to repeat it. My grandma, being the funny, but no fucks given woman she was, took my toy parrot, which you could talk to it and it repeats what you say. She said "son of a bitch" to it, and then called my mother into the kitchen to show off as the toy repeated. 😂😂

Suffice it to say, swearing is literally my native language. I grew up around it, whether it was with family or strangers. In terms of "right" and "wrong", I just use common sense. There is a time and place to swear. For example, I don't say "Thanks bitch" to the cashier at Walmart. 😂

Im swearing right the hell now!

I'm Irish so it's second nature for me to swear! I do it constantly. I will not swear before children though as that is not right and I will not swear before people I greatly respect or who I know don't swear.

I speak 6 languages and swear in 11!

I'm going to swear if I am hurting or I get surprised or am annoyed. Sure, of course. Now if you start swearing during, let's just say a discussion/debate, as to try to get your point across when everyone else is being calm and respectful that's where you lose me.

I don't mind swearing at all. I swear a lot myself, but since it's still kind of taboo in a lot of situations I will hold back. Cursing, though, is a nice way to let off some steam and, better yet, just plain old fun.
