Talker or Listener

I'm a talker. I like to run my mouth. But um, I wish I excelled better at listening to people because I think things would be better that way.

I try to make it equal. But it depends on the person I'm talking to though, if they just want to be listened to, then I'll listen.

…but of both, I guess…a huge part of talking is listening because that’s what guides the talk…

I'm a listener. If the other person doesn't talk things get quiet and awkward fast.

I can be extremely good at both

And I can be repetitive as well:
My kids: Dad, you already told me that 100 times already
Me: Ok, let me just repeat it one more time to make sure you got it

I do not make "small talk" or "idle conversation"......

.... and I would appreciate it if you didn't feel the need to fill the silence with inane babbling as well.

I prefer to listen to others talk rather than be the one talking. I've always been this way though, I was the quiet kid in school.

I'm both. Unfortunately it's because I'm constantly talking to myself
