Please give an honest answer!

My answer was no. I'm with Doc on this one. The only time I will text is if it's truly necessary. Other than that, I hate texting.

No never. You should have your license taken away if you do so.

I totally agree with you!

I don't text.

I don't drive.

Anyway, people can't even walk straight while gazing at their phones...

Texting while driving is illegal here in Pennsylvania and is banned in most states.

Banned in my state as well. That, however, does not stop people from doing it. There was a fatal accident here last week involving a teen texting while driving.

Never said it would stop some people from doing it, but it helps having law enforcement cracking down on it. Some young drivers, though, need to be educated on how dangerous it is. And - from what I've seen as of late - schools here are also improving their driver safety programs to educate not only about the obvious dangers of drunk driving, but also texting while driving because of how much it has become a recent epidemic as Rob said.

I had to laugh at how dumb law enforcement in my area can be at times. They actually announced what roads and what times they would be out enforcing people texting while driving. Now, how dumb is that?

Lol. Self-defeating and ridiculous.

You can tell people it's dangerous but they will keep doing it because they will have a This will never happen to me mentality. That is why people still text and drive even after all the warnings about what might happen if you do it.

For some, it might take having an accident to get them to stop but will it be because they learned their lesson or got themselves killed? That's the sad part about it.

I generally just text someone the word 'driving' when I'm driving and they try and call.

I know, I know. Still wrong.

Was at a red light this morning and the guy in the other lane was texting away. The light turned green and he was still texting away. He damn near hit my truck because he crossed the double line into my lane. I slowed down and was able to get behind him. He pulled into a gas station. I pulled in also and got his license plate number. Then I called it in to the police and waited. Didn't take long before a cop arrived. The cop took my report and thank goodness the texter was still there. I was told I could leave and the cop thanked me for taking the time to report it.

Saw the cop talking with the driver when I was pulling out. Not sure what's going to happen to the driver and I don't care. Just made me feel good to catch this guy before he hit another vehicle or caused an accident.
