Off Topix: Embrace the Unexpected in Every Discussion

Off Topix is a well established general discussion forum that originally opened to the public way back in 2009! We provide a laid back atmosphere and our members are down to earth. We have a ton of content and fresh stuff is constantly being added. We cover all sorts of topics, so there's bound to be something inside to pique your interest. We welcome anyone and everyone to register & become a member of our awesome community.

The Coffee House

We're up to 140 members now. Our Arcade is also up and running again. Please come and take a look at the forum.
 
We've now reached 147 members, and we're closing in on 150,000 posts.

We've recently changed the forums layout: particularly the areas devoted to intellectual discussion.



And on the contests side of things, we have a new contest based on the Keep Calm and Carry On saying.
 
We now have 184 members and nearly 170,000 posts, with plenty of topics up for discussion.

I have a few updates for this thread :) .

We are currently in the nomination stage of our Member of the Year Award for 2014, which all Coffee House members are able to nominate other members for. The candidates that receive enough nominations move on to the voting stage, which determines the winner and the runners-up.

In addition to this, we are preparing to implement a currency system onto the forum. Members will be able to earn Coffee Credits from contests, which can be used to buy official items, name changes and custom avatars and signatures. They will also be used in betting on contest results, particularly those that relate to real life events, such as sports results.

Some good news: "coffee-house-forum.com" links are working again now :) . I'm using URL forwarding as a workaround for now, so the default Zetaboards URL still appears in the address bar, but I'm told a full fix for the problem isn't too far off now.

We have updated our member ranking system. Members with a certain number of posts will attain a certain rank that relates to a precious metal or gemstone (Amethyst, Bronze, Silver, Ruby, Gold, Diamond and Platinum). These new ranks also come with some shiny new image bars.

We've had some more improvements! Among those are a new "Meet the Staff" page where you can get to know us better, new shiny icons for the staff members to match those for the elite members and a shop where you can customise your own emoticons. We also have a new Steam group for those who do lots of gaming.

Also, we are still using the Zetaboards link at the moment, as we continue to have issues with our .com domain. However, using the .com link will currently redirect you to Zetaboards anyway.
