The Walking Dead

I thought it was pretty good and am looking forward to the next episode.

Sadly I missed it cause of work. Hopefully a repeat happens later on during the week.

Well, now that the mid-season premiere will be on next Sunday, I'm hoping the show gets good enough again. I'm sick of them being stuck on that farm.

Yeah, definitely a heated end to the entire second season. Definitely can see how the group is fracturing and Rick is losing it.

Do you think the woman with katanas at the end is the same from the comics that had her brother, a zombie, strapped to her back?

I didn't see that kind of weapon on her. o.0. And you can't blame Rick. Shane was pushing him. I like though how there's more to becoming a Zombie or should I say Walker in this universe. As for the comic side of things, I honestly have no idea. As I've only read the first trade.

Well according to my roommate, who has read all of the comics up to date, the woman at the end with katanas is from the comics. Rick also slowly looses his mind throughout the rest of the comics as things unfold.

Ahh I see now. I don't know how I missed the sword in her hand. Guess I just wasn't paying too much attention. And I think I recall something about him losing his mind. At least I remember the comic being discussed on the old comics board I ran.

Yeah, he really goes insane.

That was the prison at the end when the camera zoomed out. Yeah she was holding a sword and had two zombies chained, that had their arms cut off. I wonder how long the rest of the group will stick to him.

Daryl follows Rick with an almost younger-to-older brother devotion. Herschel has pretty much surrendered himself to whatever fates happen while following Rick. The rest of the group is borderline though.

Thoughts?

As yet, I haven't started season 2. It hasn't aired on a channel I receive, nor has it been released on DVD, so I'll be waiting for that.

Okay wow I totally forgot about this thread SWEET

I forgot her name, I think it starts with an M. But apparently she's the comic's fan favorite.

Anyway, it's interesting that you mention that Rick starts losing his mind because I just don't see how that would keep the story going; Rick is the main guy, after all. And I think the story would be tough without him, if not impossible.

With that said, this season ended great. FINALLY something happened to get them off that freaking farm; the season was so much dang slower then. But I guess with Frank Darabont no longer the showrunner it might be a bit different. Hopefully next season is scarier/more action-packed.
