The difference is as long as you do not interfere with my personal life.
You can be a racist and I the conservative move on and just call you one. The left you can be a racist and I must destroy everything in your life if I see you as a racist.

You can be homophobic and I the conservative move on and just call you one. The left you can be a homophobic and I must destroy everything in your life if I see you as as homophobic.
You see if you want to scream it, act like it, run your business like it, live your life in every way like one I say let you do just that. The problem comes when you use the force of a gun under the power of a government to make me act like it, run my business like it is when the tension we see in America is happening.

No one has ever died from not being able to do those things which allow them TO be called "a racist"; several have died while being on the receiving end OF racists being racist.
I'll *agree* with you on one inferred point: We shouldn't need laws to make racists stop being racist...
...it should come naturally. Obviously, it doesn't - as racists have no self-control as a currently-running thread is aptly proving.

I've never interfered with anyone personal life side from voting to make hay marriage a legal thing here in Oregon, or voting in legalizing medical marijuana. In any case, it's not so much interfering add it is pissing some people off since apparently those things are so tuurrble! However, if I see anyone infringing on anyone rights as a citizen, youre damn certain on going to get involved where I see fit.

It has everything do with what one pole people choose to hang ones hat upon.
Anything liberal, no and never!
Anything conservative, most of the time.
Anything libertarian, a lot of the time.
