Total Wipeout is a British game show, hosted by Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram that first aired on 3 January 2009. Each week, 20 contestants compete in a series of challenges in an attempt to win £10,000. These challenges are based in large pools of water or mud and generally involve large assault courses that participants must cross.

Wipeout is an American game show series in which contestants compete in what is billed as the world's largest obstacle course. The series premiered on June 24, 2008 on ABC. Wipeout is hosted (and commentated) by John Henson (formerly of E! Entertainment's Talk Soup) and John Anderson (ESPN's SportsCenter). Jill Wagner co-hosts, and acts as the on-location presenter (Henson and Anderson presenting from a broadcast booth inside a studio).

I find the British one better than the American one, but that's only my opinion

Yeah total wipeout is awesome, takeshi's castle is old but hilarious as well

Hamster has some funny stuff to say about the contestants, the red balls are legendary though.

I love Total Wipeout. My dad prefers the American one but I think the British version is better. I think Richard Hammond is a quality commentator in it.

I've never seen the British one. I watch the American one occasionally. It's an okay show.
