ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ)—Early voting just started last week in Maryland, but there are already accusations that some voting machines are changing Republican votes to Democrat. Now Republicans are calling for an investigation by the State Board of Elections.

As Marylanders go to the polls, there are concerns that the vote you cast may not be for the candidate you want.

“We’ve heard from scores of citizens in our district and around the state who have had this problem where they hit one button to vote for one person, and when they go to the summary they see that the other person was checked,” said Del Nik Kipke, (R) Anne Arundel County.

I'm surprised. Not!

FWIW, neither am I...then again, this is one of those things' that's probably not supposed to get out until after the election...:whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:

I know Republicans programming voting machines to switch to democrat votes. That is some strategy. Either way they need to get rid of these computerized voting machines.

And what, go back to paper ballots?

And those can't be tampered with/misreported?

Anything can be tampered with but it is lot less likely to happen from the people counting the votes with other people around them to make sure all is being done legit. Then some pre-programmed computerized voting machine that god knows who had there hands on it.

Perhaps, but it really feels like a machine's job to me.

Just hire some foreigners to look after them, like me. I wouldn't give a damn who won :P

I like our way of scrawling an X on the paper. Gives the feeling that my one tiny little vote really makes a difference.

...well, well...looks like the machines are switching votes in the other direction:
Electronic voting advocates praise the machine's accuracy and convenience, but are we sacrificing our democracy on the altar of convenience? What we do know is that the machines are vulnerable to attack, and can be programmed to cheat with undetectable codes that disappear when the voting stops. And if that's not enough to give you pause consider that the CEO of Diebold, manufacturer of one of the most commonly used voting machines is a big time Republican donor who once promised to ‘deliver the election' to George W. Bush….and he did. Once again, there are reports of voting machines "flipping" votes from a Democrat candidate to a Republican, with this most recent occurrence coming to us from North Carolina.

When resident Percy Bostick, 69, of Greensboro attempted to cast a ballot for Kay Hagan at the Old Guilford County Courthouse, the machine instead registered the vote for Republican opponent Thom Tillis.

"I called one of the poll workers over," Bostick said. "She said do it again. And again, I touched the screen at the proper place for Kay Hagan, and it again reported it for Thom Tillis."

Finally, after four attempts, the vote correctly registered for Hagan. A poll worker canceled the vote altogether, and directed Bostick to instead use another machine, where there were no issues.

As I said before beware when the tables get turned when dems are happy with results when it happens because of shady deals. And if true here is evidence A of the tables being turned from a leftist idea. Computers are wonderful things but we need them far away from anything that is voting.

I'm surprised it even came up in most of the newsfeeds...:ohmy::ohmy:
