Wal Mart

Yep, but not on a daily basis. At this time I wouldn't touch Wal-Mart with a ten foot pole. It's holiday season.

The only problem with Walmart is that it is so far from where I live.

Nope, I am in the UK but I shop at ASDA, which according to there slogan is part of the walmart family.

If the prices I get at Wal-Mart weren't so fabulous I would NEVER patronize the place because the service is for shit. Employees are rude, unhelpful, arrogant and I have seen one of them tell a customer that they (the employee) couldn't help the customer because she was on a break. AS SHE WAS STOCKING SHELVES.

I have to ignore the crappy customer service because I have to budget my money and I can't get better deals than I can at Wal-Mart. And Nebulous? The service DOES matter! It matters a LOT.

I sacrifice good service for a good price and I do so with my eyes wide open.

That is true. Walmarts are always messy. The lines at the registers usually reach the middle of the store... but the prices are amazing lol

I dont need help.. If they are out then I will get it next time.. No big deal.

You know when you ask people to check in the back, they probably go to the break room and get a drink of water or have a little snack.. Then come back and tell you Ive looked all over and I couldnt find anything.

Lol I completely agree. I used to do it all the time when I worked at Bj's.

Yes I shop at Wal Mart...mainly because back home I live in a small town and that's all we have.

Well, usually that does seem to be the general consensus, but my town was so small we didn't really have any small business' for Wal Mart to kill. =p

fair enough.. Then it brought some jobs to your town, which is a good thing.

It's such a hard dilemma...they kill off small businesses but they are SO DAMN CHEAP. Really though some of the stuff they sell, especially food, is such crap...

And had worked there. I used to get a discount.

Yes, I do.

Sometimes I do because the 11pm closing is nice but I've noticed the majority of items I normally buy are no longer cheaper than competitors. And the price of eggs FINALLY reduced, they were charging $4 a dozen during the pandemic and haven't let up until now

Same here. I turned my discount card in when I quit. They kept cutting my hours to the point I was barely working there. I never did put my two weeks in. I told the manager who had the nerve to ask, that they neglected to put me on the schedule for most of the month. There was their two weeks right there. I don't know they just didn't fire me if they weren't going to give me my hours.

if i wasn't so old & rickety, walmart would be within "walking distance"...less than a mile away, i'm thinking. they pretty much have everything i need/want. there's a "super" on other side of town... not thrilled with the grocery section. i used to gripe/whine/mumble about the lines to check out, but then self-check rolled into town. parking lot is a mess. never any parking spaces close to the entrance. shoppers seem to be worse at leaving carts where they make spaces un-parkable.
