And by that I'm talking about vending machines. Won't be as easy as getting a coke but still something worth pondering about.

We have vending machines that sell beer. You need to put your ID card in to verify your age and as far as I'm aware there's no way around it. I think it'd actually be safer than when it's sold by a human. Over here 12 year olds can easily just go buy a bottle of vodka and the shop owner will say nothing.

Someone could borrow someone else's ID in much the same way kids sometimes pay adults to buy them booze. Though, admittedly, I doubt many people would hand over their ID like that.

They'll probably be competent enough to at least think of some system. Maybe special weed cards?

As for borrowing the ID, if an adult is willing to help out it can't be checked, doesn't matter if it's a machine or a person.
