Same here, there's a place near me called Jim's Burgers and Eggs, absolutely fantastic! Nick's Diner, as well, very good. Lots of local pizza places, too, all good. A little more on the pricey side to go independent, but always tastier than the chains.I gravitate towards mom & pop / locally owned restaurants. Some chain restaurants are good.

That's true! Some are very badly priced. Hell, even basic fast food level food is awfully priced these daysSometimes the chains or more expensive!![]()
There's two I regularly visit each month: AJ's and Abele's.What are some of your favorite restaurants where you live?

It truly is! One of those places that, from the outside, you'd think nothing of it, very unassuming. But once you're in there and you taste the food, YUM!That Jim's place looks awesome! I love places like that when they can really become successful!
I like Red Lobster, most steakhouses, Texas Roadhouse, Dominos, and Genghis Grill. There are too many to list!
