Have any of you stopped playing a game?

What made you stop playing it? What was the reason?

Many, some because they've just run their course (GTA Online), some because they weren't great games, and others because...well...backlog :D

I don't care for the whole 'backlog' stuff, tbh. I'll play and get to new games and all when I can.
Yeah, same mostly, I just got myself into a position when I could afford to buy games that I had a lot of games I'd never played to catch up on, so I slowly work my way through that list in my now-limited gaming time. Otherwise I'd play more for enjoyment and go back to the good ones to finish them.

I recently got burned out on playing. It's not as fun as it used to be. When I was a teenager I could never get enough of it.
Same. I don't game near as much at all and have a gaming PC even which I spent a bunch on.

I stop playing videogames all the time. Usually because I get sidetracked so easily. I can be really enjoying a game and just stop playing. Sometimes I will go back and finish it but not always. Recent games that are in hiatus for me are Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, Stray, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Pokemon: Shining Pearl, Final Fantasy V: Pixel Remaster, Grandia HD, and Ratchet and Clank from the HD trilogy on PS3. I was actually really enjoying all of these games too but kept getting distracted 🤦

Since I reopened this forum, I've stopped playing almost all of my games, spending my free time on here instead. :P
So ironic, since replying to you in the Yu-Gi-Oh thread has me playing a duel on the PS4 game for the first time so long. 😂😂

I loved playing video games as a kid. I did it a lot then, but just stopped as I got hooked on the Internet and computers. I still play, but not as often as I used to when younger.

Super mario 2, the odd game that has nothing to do with the mario universe. I believe it was a different game overseas that they just change the name of and swapped out some characters to make it mario.

It was indeed, Doki Doki Panic got some Mario sprites and re-released because the real Super Mario Bros 2 was deemed too hard for the western markets :D
