I haven't watched many long Anime series so would have to go with a short series.

Cowboy Bebop for sure.
Though Death Note isn't far behind.

I am not really sure what my favourite anime is. I would possibly go with JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, with Stone Ocean being my favourite season. I am basing this more off the manga than the anime since the entire season isn't available as an anime yet.

It was fun. I used to spend hours at the arcade and most of the time I was playing JoJo's adventure.

That's a difficult question to answer. I'd say I have more of a top 5 favorite than one ultimate favorite. In no particular order, my top 5 favorite anime are:

1) Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2) Monster
3) Ghost in the Shell
4) Samurai Champloo
5) Sailor Moon

Oh! I so need to go back to Samurai Champloo! I started watching it but only got a few episodes in and then stopped. I was really enjoying it too. I only have a handful of episodes till I have finished Fruits Basket, so that could very well be my next series.
