The first line in his song, “Until the End of Time” is one of my favorites. For me personally, the way I can relate to it is that I had a very chaotic childhood and as a teenager and adult, I would attract friendships and relationships that were a reflection of that. I was attracted to people who reflected my pain and would find myself in situations where I was sabotaging myself or just not feeling like I was a worthy person.
