Who shouldn't have been given a record deal?

Sure if we had all known that R. Kelly liked to have sex with underage girls and filmed it, maybe no one would have listened to his music. But again, hindsight is 20/20.

Immortal Technique, though slightly mainstream, has 99% of the time more meaning in his songs than artists that you like. Although technically I don't think he was given a record deal, he has his own record label.

He's good, and so is Jedi Mind Tricks. And the Roots and A Tribe Called Quest.

Far too overplayed.. All their songs song the same. Very little variation to their songs. I saw them in concert, and one plus is that they sound identical to their CD, unlike most artists. I just wish they would have more variety like they used to.

Some rappers speak fast, not all of them though. If your a good listener you should be able to hear what they are saying.
