No. New World Order isn't really a good idea. Would be nearly impossible to oversee, but I suppose the economy is becoming a global one. But to mesh together so many cultures that do not necessarily get along would be crazy. And to meld together the developing world and the developed industrialized world would be problematic. Imagine an election with 6 billion voters.
Globalization is as close as we'll get, honestly. And that's pretty damn tightly intertwined.

The world is already very chaotic, I think that would take things to higher level.
I think it would be too complicated to pull off. They would have to have someone running each country, they would just have to report to the higher power (the world govt) I guess.
