Would you want your children to be just like you?

My mom always told my sister and I that she couldn't wait until we had kids and they'd be like us. But I was the good one, so that made me happy LOL My sister was the instigator and her son was like her, but her daughters were really good. My daughter was an angel. Except when it came to wearing a jacket and keeping her room clean. Nothing to get mad over though.

No. I would hate for my children to be like me, to deal with the mental and physical health issues. I am somewhat glad I can't have kids, because I fear I would ruin their lives, I am not meant to be a parent. It just wouldn't be fair.

There are characteristics that I'd love for my children to pick up, but I wouldn't want them to be exactly like me. I would hope that they'd pick up just the good characteristics from both myself and my significant other.

That's the problem I'm having with my daughter. She's too much like me and causes us to butt heads sometime lol

I want my children to be like me in certain aspects but not in everything. As a parent, I’m not perfect! I do have my own flaws too! So, I would love them to inherit my positive trait only. I wouldn't want them to inherit the negative traits. Of course, they are allowed to learn from my experiences. In the same vein, they should forge their own paths and become a better version of themselves. That is actually the beauty of parenthood.

I will train my kids to be like me. I want them to feel responsible and not run away from chores. That is a key part of my lifestyle which I will want them to emulate.

Hello no, which is one reason I will never have kids.
