How many genders are there?

I was raised on a traditional society that told me there are two genders, man and a woman. Even though some people are born with the reproductive organs of both genders, they are basically close to one gender and can biologically associate with one of the two genders. However, these days there is an on going debate that there are hundreds of genders. What do you think?

This. So many people mistake biological sex for gender. And yes, there are more than two sexes (have we just forgotten about intersex folks?) Gender is a social construct that applies to various characteristics of what people think "male" and "female" should be.
