We have a female Indian Ring neck parrot. They can be very loving birds at times. Other times, not so much.

They're very hard to tame though. We got lucky with ours. It took the lady over a year to get her tamed down to where she could be handled. There are times when she gets very moody and we've had to leave her in her cage for a week to cool down.

I've had lots of bitchy birds in my day. They are hard to keep as pets because they get so aggressive while you're just trying to care for them.

What I don't like about birds is that they are very fickle. They like you for a while and then they do a complete 180 and don't want you to handle them at all.

I quit getting the birds out a long time ago. They're my wife's anyway. I got tired of getting bit. Our ring neck will be all lovey dovey one minute and then the next minute she's biting you in the face for some unknown reason. I don't know, I just got tired of it.
