Light/Dark Theme Selection & Customization

Greetings members,

In this thread I will show you how to change and adjust your themes. Switching between themes will drastically change the forum's appearance during your visit. We have 14 themes installed on this forum, three light themes and three dark themes. All of our themes have a Light/Dark button so you can quickly switch between the light and the dark version of that theme. Four of our themes (illuminate Light, illuminate Dark, Uniform Light and Uniform Dark) have Customize menus so you can customize your theme preferences even further! Below I will walk through each theme and their features.

At the bottom left corner of every page on this forum you'll find the style chooser. Look for the paint brush icon (and you see the name of the theme you're currently using next to it).

Click on that to open the style chooser menu.

Here you'll see all of our themes. Feel free to try them all out and switch between them whenever you want a fresh look for the forum.

illuminate - Light Theme

Here is a preview of the illuminate Light Theme. illuminate themes have a unique color scheme for each category on the forum and tons of other options!

Click on the moon icon in the top right corner of any page to switch to the dark version of this theme. There is also another moon icon at the bottom of every page (next to the style chooser).

Click on the toggle switch icon in the top right corner of any page to open the Customize menu. There is also another toggle switch icon at the bottom of every page (next to the style chooser).

In this menu you'll be able to change the background of this theme. illuminate - Light has five different backgrounds to choose from. You'll find thumbnails previewing each background choice at the top of the Customize menu.

In this menu there are some additional theme customization options:

• Fluid width - Enabling this will increase the width of the site so it occupies the width of your browser. Useful for larger screens.
• Grid layout - If enabled, the forums will be displayed as a grid instead of a table.
• Sticky sidebar - If enabled, the sidebar will stick to the top of the screen for easy access.
• Flip sidebar - Flip the sidebar between the left and right sides.

For the version we’re using I wasn’t a fan of many themes out there. Shout out to XenFocus, they have the best ones on the market right now (in my opinion). 4 of our themes were designed by them.

Which theme are you using?

Yeah it can be hit and miss for sure. Thankfully the market place is huge so there is plenty of options.

XenForo - Dark (Blue)

It's just like the XenForo Dark Theme, except with shades of blue instead of shades of black/grey.

Just wanted to mention that we now have a variation of the Light and Dark illuminate themes with LARGE avatars showing on the thread-view pages.

Simply choose "illuminate - Light (Large Avatars) or illuminate - Dark (Large Avatars)" from the Style Chooser / Theme Selector at the bottom of any page if you want to see those larger sized avatars.

Yes, the moon icon switches you to the dark version of that theme. The light bulb icon switches you to the light version of that theme.
