What hobbies used to be popular, but aren't common now?

Why have they gone out of fashion in your opinion?

Collecting pogs, I think they just outlived their purpose and vanished.

Pokemon card collecting.
Still alive and well over here, especially amongst elementary school age kids.

I used to have a ton of those!!! Huge collection, I was pretty good at the game as well. Had all the best slammers :D
Wood burning, stamp collecting, collecting baseball cards. Making ceramics.
Baseball cards are definetly a thing of the past.

As for wood burning, I'll be doing that in a bit. Going to do another fire pit in the back yard :D

I still have a lot of them somewhere, some great ones and some absolutely random ones :D. Pogs were everywhere, it was insane and then they were just gone :D

Thats cool, might be worth something on ebay.

I don't know whatever happened to mine. I don't have them anymore.

As a nerd who buys retro video games and DVDs of old movies, I totally agree lol!

See! :P

My brother is like that too but probably worse. He surrounds himself in nostalgic junk because it reminds him of our family members who passed away or <insert blank> from childhood. He goes thrift store shopping daily and comes home with trunk loads full of crap. His whole house looks like a thrift store inside. I am the opposite. I am kind of a minimalist and don't attach sentimental value to things very often. I am not going to hang on to all of my mom's janky old furniture just because it belonged to her. I remember when I did a big purge a while back he was mad of me for getting rid of some of her stuff. The memories of her are still in my head and getting rid of her stuff wont change that. My daughter's mom is the same way and lives in a hoarder house. She got really mad at me when I got rid of all my daughters VHS tapes a few years ago because apparently she had given me some of those tapes and they were hers since she was a kid. I'm like.... who gives a fuck? Its just a piece of plastic with film in it, you don't even have a VCR! Lol

Yeah, that's an extreme level! I'm a minimalist outside of my game and DVD collection which have their own room, lol. Rest of my space is nice and simple living, no clutter

No kidding!!
I used to think he was the greatest; & he had a nice, long run. But he disappeared REAL quick.

Cooking... but only because people have forgotten how to cook without a microwave in recent generations...

I think last reports was around 80% of college age students 0_o

Also auto repair, sewing, etc.

all useful skills that probably shouldn't have died out but are mostly niche now.
