And I wish I knew this sooner, as I could go for some chili.
Photo of Domestic Goddess Chili topped with a bit of shredded cheddar cheese.
Which I enjoy scooping up the chili with tortilla chips.

P.S. - - Sure do hope your power holds out through this hopefully last big blast of winter!!

Me too! Speaking of that, all the neighborhoods around me lost power during a storm yesterday but thankfully my house was safe.
Lucky! Lucky! I heard that California...all over...is really "catchin' it"!

Looks good - although, I don't really understand how you can have a "National Chili Day" that applies only to Wisconsin :P .

(Unless, of course, it's also National Chili Day in the other 49 states!)

You are correct! National means National! :D Looks like maybe it is officially the fourth Thursday in February.
======
On February 23, we celebrate National Chili Day — a moment to pay homage to the legendary dish that brings people together, and can tear them apart. Chili is the ultimate people-pleaser, but it’s also the ultimate cook-off dish. Family recipes are guarded like crown jewels, and secret ingredients are never spoken of above a whisper. And the debates about what makes true chili — beans or no beans? —are fierce! But these are all part of what makes chili such an experience. When chili is being served — perhaps with some chopped onions and shredded cheese on top — everyone comes to the table.

We don't know what those words mean. We use "World Champions" when a team wins a sport that is only played in the USA. How much sense does that make? :lol:

Love a good chili. I once entered a chili contest in the small town I was living in and I won.

Must be good chili then! :drool:

Love me some chili. I get mine just with beans, ground beef, and shredded cheese. I do not do extra or anything when I do it.

Kyng, I heard about that early in the morning on tv. Channel 9, ABC.
