Are you currently happy with your job?

Does it pay you enough?

Is there room for advancement / promotions?

Will you retire from this job or seek another one eventually?

Are you currently happy with your job?

Yeah, I like it.

Does it pay you enough?

It does since I have a cheap mortgage on my house (compared to other people in this area). If I was still renting, I'd have a lot less spending money, thats for sure.

Is there room for advancement / promotions?

I am already a supervisor but there is a supervisor above me. He's not going anywhere any time soon (and I am not sure I'd even want his job), so yes and no.

Will you retire from this job or seek another one eventually?

I think I'll retire from this one, unless I get sick of it and want to do something else.

Yes, I am mostly happy with my job. There are things I dislike about it, but when is that not the case?

No, it does not pay enough for everything I'm expected to do.

Yes, there is room for advancement.

Hell no, I will not retire from this company. I would like to have more job protections, like with a union, so I'm eyeing a different healthcare group.

There's a union at my work but the employer still gets it's way 99.9% of the time.

Are you currently happy with your job? I'm alright. I have worked at it for eight-years. The first two years, I work in a certain department. Thereafter, I spend six years doing something entirely different. The last couple months, I've started a new position doing something else. Thus, for that reason, it has freshened up for me a little bit. If you would've asked me about six months ago, you would've gotten a different answer.

Does it pay you enough? I have enough to cover my bills. I am not living paycheck to paycheck. I could afford to take six months off at any moment and I wouldn't lose my house or have to change my lifestyle (I would, however, lose my savings). Point is, it has allowed me to build a decent nest-egg. Could it be more? Yes, of course. However, there are also things I could better take advantage of to bring more change in my pocket that I am not.

Is there room for advancement / promotions? As prefaced, I went to a new position - slightly more prestigious. After that, the last place to go is up to a managerial role, which I could, if I may someday in a couple years.

Will you retire from this job or seek another one eventually? I will likely eventually try something new if I become burned out again. For now though, it works with my wife and I's schedule, I'm good at it, and I'm comfortable.

What do you do for a living (if you don't mind me asking)?

Retail. It isn't as bad as it sounds (but it's pretty close), haha. I work nights and the store is closed, so there's that. I've went through phases of being a Deli worker and a stockperson, now I'm at a phase where I move shelves around and reorganize things. When you go to a store and you're mad because you can't find something, that's me. It's one of the more "prestigious" jobs where I work, and my other two coworkers in it have been there for thirty years compared to me, haha.

I do other small side jobs, like editing manuscripts and web design, but those are more side hustles than anything else.

just kidding!!

Just when I'm about to get the layout figured out at Costco to make my shopping trip a little shorter they flip the whole dadgummed store around.

I understand that that is a marketing ploy; but if they're gonna pay you extra to do it....well, okay. :p

I used to work retail 3 years on graveyard shift and 1 year on mornings. I feel your pain.

I used to do the shelf re-design / re-organizing too for a while too. They had a special term for it but I forgot what it was. We'd get the new layout maps from corporate and then had to make it happen. Hurt myself a couple times on shelves that didn't want to come out or go back in.

I love it, since I made the switch. I was working in a hardware store in the yard preparing wood order for construction worker, but now I'm the construction worker, working as a carpenter and i absolutly LOVE it. The pay is good and the work is very fun, better if you have a nice crew.

Thats cool. From the person who sells the tools to the person who USES the tools. I like it. :D

Yes, exactly, I really love it! It's alot to learn but each day I learn something new and that's why I like it.

For the most part I am happy with my job. The only time it sucks is during the summertime when it's super hot and humid though. At least my work provides us with plenty of water, and cooling rags as well as drink mixes too if you don't just want plain water. Of course there are days that drive me insane, but that comes with any job. It's nice working four ten hour days and getting three days off instead of just two.

Loving my job, it pays very well haha

next month been with the company for a year, but been in the industry for about 4 years.
