A lot of hate has gone into this movie so will be interesting to see how popular it is. The main hate is because Ariel is Black in this one... I honestly wouldn't care if Ariel was pink with purple polka-dots... so long as the actress can tell the story that's all that matters.

Are they forgetting about roles like Agent Fury in the MCU? The original comic book character was originally white. Samuel Jackson nailed it like a bad ass.

Agent Fury isn't as well known as Little Mermaid so it didn't make headlines as much.

Almost 20, she watched little mermaid her whole childhood. On a loop, over and over again for years. Lol
Oh wow, I thought she was younger for some reason! Hope she likes it!
Just saw it and I enjoyed it quite a bit! It's not perfect (my biggest problem was that some parts of the movie were so dark visually that I could barely even tell what was going on) but the cast was excellent and it was a good movie! Loved the new songs too, especially Prince Eric's!
Awesome, glad it was good. I hate when they make super dark scenes in movies too.

I didn't know there was a live action Aladdin, I'll have to check it out.
It was good! I seen it twice (took two different people to see it). They made a few tweaks but still honored the original.

I'll probably have to wait until it comes out on Disney+ as I can't be bothered trying to go to a movie that kids will be watching.

Prince Eric’s new song is already one of my top new Disney songs so for me the trade was worth it.I was a little worried about it but even with a packed theater they were all pretty well behaved around here
