Most depressing movie you've seen?

The Green Mile is probably number one. Pay It Forward also comes to mind.
Basically any movie about dogs.

I thought The Green Mile was Soooo Good! But, thinking back, I guess it was overall depressing.

But, it also had some redeeming qualities. (y)

Oh don't get me wrong, it's an amazing movie! Buuuut it's sooooooo sad.
I certainly have to agree with that.
My son said "You should watch this." This was back in the VHS days; I'd look at the cover & think to myself...nah I don't really like 'prison' movies. I did finally watch it & thought it was amazing; but I did cry a lot. :)

Another one that would probably be a runner up for Most Depressing my daughter talked me into watching was Million Dollar Baby. I don't "do" sports movies either, especially wrestling or boxing, especially girls' wrestling or boxing , but I thought that was a fantastic movie.

Hmm I'll have to rewatch that one! That's one that I watched back in high school and don't really remember all that well.
Clint Eastwood is always great though! Gran Torino is another pretty sad one of his.

I saw Gran Torino, too....not what I expected; but GREAT! Guess I thought it was going to be about muscle cars or something.

Yeah, Clint Eastwood...always!! Hillary Swank's pretty special, too. :)

I did not feel good after watching The Legend of 1900 and wish I hadn't watched it.

Another was El Crimen del Padre Amaro. Maybe I can appreciate it better now, but when I saw it in college, I couldn't get far enough past the tragedy to think anything of the actual point.

It wasn't a depressing movie, it was more upsetting and very sad...

Holding A Man....

if you haven't seen it, i highly recommend it!!

I had pretty much the same feeling when 'No Country For Old Men' was over..."is that all?"...like it never got to any worthwhile point whatsoever. I don't mind a bit of crying :D, but there should at least SOMETHING of value to take away.
