Teens as staff?

I did have some as staff before and didn't have many issues. Some issues that have come up are maturity concerns if any issues did happen. None really involved me running the forums and just seeing it as a mod and/or user.
My first reaction would be heck no, but that's just because I know how immature teens can be based on being around them at school in the past. But, there are decent, mature teens out there. If they prove themself worthy of a staff position, then they very well may make a nice addition to the team that can contribute and help keep the forum going.
I agree. Dealing with minors on forums and social media is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I don't think they have any business being on chat or social websites.
I've never had teens on staff on any of my forums. I think it would be fine if they're mature, and are at least 16 or 17. I wouldn't want a 13 year old on staff, they're certainly not mature enough at that age. It also depends of the niche of the forum, if there are sensitive subjects then I wouldn't even want young teenagers visiting the site.
How would you know? Most of them lie about their age. I banned a 14 year old off of the forum I'm currently moderating. It's adults only. He slipped up and said he was in 9th grade. Bye bye 😂
depends, usually i would say no only because of maturity concerns, If they have been active in "1-5" communities and the other owners / staff can verify their moral then sure why not.
If the expectations are clear to them and they understand the conditions of being a staff member and how much of a responsibility it is but if they are slacking on their duties, starteing drama amongst staff / other members then should be addressed accordingly.
Clear rules and conditions should be met to remain staff on any community.
*No outside drama allowed in this community, Venting is fine about a problem etc as we are all human and sometimes need to talk to someone.
*You are Staff first Member 2nd rule helps in some cases depending how thats applied while being a staff member responsibilities need to be met,
If any of them are broken, Address the situation and if continues to happen removeal from staff will occur. that also should be for everyone as well

Snap chat? Yeah.... Thats one I never got into. I tried to make an account once but couldn't get into so I just deleted the app.
Kind of hard to verify that though, anyone could claim to be any age they want.

Photo verification? I've seen some forums require their members to write the URL of the forum on a piece of paper and hold it up in a selfie.
Yup. Photo verification with birthday and username on paper.
Also a copy of their photo ID / drivers license and social security number.
