Definitely over the ear. I hate earbuds because they eventually get full of wax.
My headphones are plush, noise cancelling, and have excellent sound with deep bass. 
I prefer headphones personally. Earbuds are very uncomfortable for me to wear, and they don't seem particularly hygienic to me for some reason.

Headphones all the way. I can not stand the cost of quality earbuds to get the sound quality of basic headphones and worst of all, I hate having them in my ears. Over-the-ear headphones are my go-to, but I also use Koss's on-ear Porta Pros for travel and walking around.
Earphones for me. Headphones are just a bit too big and bulky for me especially when you're out and about. I want something small and easy to wear that can be carried easily.

Yeah it's hitting the northern US pretty hard. I'm in the deep south. We got some rain that turned to ice in some areas, but it melted!@zoldos: Due to arrive today but probably won't. The snow storm has pretty much snowed people in and I doubt delivery drivers get paid enough to drive around in this crap. Will update when I get them and how I like them.
