Did you panic recently when the market dropped and decided to sell some of your stocks? I hope not! The market will always come back up after it goes down and it's just a matter of how long it is until that happen. Your investments are for long term anyway, so hold tight.

For older folks, you should be at the point where you start switching over to bonds and have less stocks. There are some online calculators that tell you the specific percentages according to your age.

I don't panic sell, but I did close my positions on a number of stocks a little bit after Trump took office. I'm glad I did. The market will swing back and maybe I'll look like a fool at some point, but I wasn't in a position where I could sit around and wait for the backswing. You never know how long that'll be. Could be in three months. Could be in three years. No one knows.
