Rabies is an extremely deadly disease. It is one of the worst diseases out there and you do not want your pets to get it. So, what are some of the best ways to protect your cats from rabies?

I think that cats rarely get rabies, at least in this country. The best way that I know of would be to keep their rabies vaccine up-to-date.

Majority of the rabies cases are the result of dog bites in my country. I have never seen any cat getting rabies in my city. There are a lots of stray dogs in my city and the government has failed to remove them.

I don't allow my cats to go outside, and we keep all of their vaccinations up to date. Rabies isn't something I really even think about though. Parvo is what I would worry about.

I think this also depends on how common rabies is in your area. There are places where rabies is much more common than people can think. Regardless of that, it is always important to keep your pets up to date when it comes to getting vaccinated.

I've never come across a cat or dog (nor a raccoon) that ever had rabies. I think getting a rabies shot is very important.
