    Food stamp shaming?

It's not unusual for people on food stamps to have jobs. They just work a job that doesn't pay enough, and those tend to be the low skilled jobs. Even less unusual for them to have a job while getting food stamps if they have kids as well.

When your staff makes things worse?

Never happened on my site, but I’ve seen a few places where moderators were either on power trips, or ran people off just because they didn’t like the user(s).

Have you used the dark web?

Nah, there isn’t really anything interesting on it. Also needing to install Tor and how you can’t browse it like the surface web, it’s more of a pain for nothing interesting.

Are games easier or more difficult than a decade ago?

I think the difficulty now is more "fair" than NES games. Me dying now is due to my lack of skill, whereas some of those hard NES games were hard for the wrong reasons. Not to include how cryptic some of those games were. Don't have Nintendo Power? Good luck figuring things out.

What age should kids get a cell phone?

It depends on the situation. If the kids are by themselves at home, they need a cell phone for you to contact them. Also when they get older and are in after school activities, they need a way for you to contact them. Iirc, there’s parental controls you can put on a phone to restrict them from...

    Communism

I see it as an ideology that sounds fine on paper, and might work for a smaller community, but when you have an entire nation, that’s when human problems come into play.

Do you side with extremes politically or are you in the middle?

I think a lot of the folks who are on the political extremes treat political parties like a sports team where it’s ride or die. I’ve seen quite a few people that you can tell don’t really believe in a policy, but are only defending it because they identify as that ideology. It also doesn’t help...

How often do you do a hard shut down on your pc?

    Desktops? Rarely if ever.

Last time you loaded software onto your system using CD-Roms?

There’s probably some server hardware that only install via CD’s, or as a backup solution if you can’t PXE boot or install via USB.

    Bad Moderators

I ended up leaving that forum I mentioned earlier. Most forums I leave is mostly due to the forum being inactive, but that’s the second time I left because of the staff. A forum with hot headed moderators who like shutting down users for not agreeing with them is an amazing place to be.

Do you get alerts on your phone?

Outside of emails and texts, the only one I have is for my mailbox. My apartment uses something called parcel pending, so if Amazon drops a package in there, I get a text to check the mailbox.

Last time you loaded software onto your system using CD-Roms?

Been a minute. You can do it all via USB now. Even making installable OS’s via thumb drives.

Do you smoke, vape, or chew tobacco?

I went from smoking to vaping, and I weaned myself off of that into salt mix pouches. Not one of my brightest decisions. Tbh, vaping was harder to get off of just because I can sit in my house and do it all day, so it was less the nicotine addiction than the habit of inhaling something.

    Snowflakes and Chainsaws lol

Ive never heard of the chainsaw term before… It’s definitely comical, though it is sad when you meet someone that’s a walking negative stereotype of whatever political extreme. It’s like “oh… you’re where all the jokes stem from…” It’s also sad how the news sites are extremely biased. They...

    Charging phone at the airport?

That’s if you use the USB ports. If you use the wall outlet, it’s 100% safe. As your charging brick only delivers electricity.

    Cover your webcam?

The stuff people use to hack the government is significantly more complicated than what happens to the average internet user, as it’s a targeted attack made with billions of dollars of R&D. The average internet user isn’t a targeted attack, and is mostly trying to catch low hanging fruit...

    Cover your webcam?

If you guys practice good internet security, your chances of running into someone hacking your webcam is slim.

    Touch screen monitor

I have two touchscreen laptops. I can see it being useful for those who draw or like handwriting notes. Outside of that, it feels more combersome to use. It's like... I'm already using the mouse or trackpad, so taking my hand off of it to reach the screen feels like unecessary work.
