    Linux

Well it's less constricting than windows. You won't have everything you do reported back to Microsoft to sell to advertisers. Also it's less resource intensive than windows. I've found that games often run better In Linux despite the compatibility layer because windows is so heavy as an os...

    man's best friend?

I have a dog... her name is Tribble and she's very friendly and affectionate... to the point of literally leaping into my arms when I come home. (yeah this dog can jump like an NBA basketball player considering her size... also likes to parkour around the house... hardcore dog-kour?) as for...

Financial red flags in a romantic partner

I don't think I could feel comfortable sharing a bank account with anyone... I'm pretty particular about my finances and maintaining balance and it would lead to too many arguments.

Do you sleep in on your days off?

I usually work 4 10's so I'm tired on my days off and often sleep in an hour or two... especially if I was out at the club/going to karaoke the night before.

    Linux

I did. Basically what distro do you use the most, and don't you think there's too many dead ones? my answer is... #1 Source mage linux. I may use ubuntu as my daily driver because of it's ease of configuration... but I really like source mage because all software is compiled rather than...

    Linux

Give it a try, you can load it on a vm, an old laptop, a flash drive... Hell if you're using an android phone? Congrats you're using Linux. If you do give it a try, Ubuntu, pop! os, and Linux mint are all very user friendly.

    Linux

I know you're bating me but... Yes I'm using linux, to emulate an old mac, to run old phone phreaker software, while accessing a BBS separately for ancient-ware.:p Why don't I just access it from the virtual mac? Because I can scan the stuff first using clamAV.

    Disks vs Downloads?

Thank the gods for the UK consumer protection racket :P Just make a backup!

    Disks vs Downloads?

Yeah but what happens when the servers go down or a hard drive dies? Poof nothing but empty space devoid of electrons.

    Linux

Going to resurrect this thread :P I'm a linux gamer, the linux desktop experience has only gotten better as is the linux gaming experience thanks to proton and the popularity of the steam deck... Infact windows lost a 3% market share to linux desktop in the last couple years... that's huge.

    Steam Deck, Portable PC Gaming

So I'm grateful to the steam deck and steam OS. Why? Because it's helped push proton to even greater heights making it that much easier to play stuff as a linux gamer. Cyberpunk 2077 works out of the box on my desktop... arguably better than in windows 10.
