    First Soccer thread

    I love watching soccer, but I don't call it soccer, I call it football. I think football is the ideal name for this game because you can only kick the ball with your legs, if you touch the ball with your hands, you will be penalized. They also allow using your head or shoulder.

    Staying on topic

    I am strict about staying on the topic, but I do understand it is very common to stray away while creating replies. Therefore, I don't penalize people for going off-topic. That's how real-world communication actually goes.

    Forum Posting

    I like creating topic threads as well as posting replies. As long as the topics I want to talk about are available, I don' create a new thread. I create new threads only when I do not find a topic that I want to talk about.

    Ads on small forums.

    I have two forums, both are small forums, and they don't even have a dozen active members. However, I run ads, I don't earn much but I am at least making some money that I can use to pay for hosting and domain renewal.

    Forum Failure

    I can't say about others but in my opinion, the main reason for forum failure is lack of revenue generation. If your forum does not generate revenue, how long can you actually pay for servers from your pocket? Server is not the only cost of running a forum, you also need to pay for domain and SSL.
