    If somebody were to thrust super mod powers on me without so much as asking, I'd give them an object lesson by deleting every thread I could get my hands on and ban everyone I could until the admin put a stop to it. He/She might think twice about just throwing it out there in the future.

    I really dislike SMF. They totally wrecked YaBB. That said, vBulletin has also turned into a complete pile of crap. 3.8 was the last decent version. I guess it's a toss-up for me.

    I find it interesting that it doesn't share the Gmail text ad opt-out. I removed the ads from my account years ago, but I'll be damned if I can remember where that setting is now.

    KeyCaptcha is all I use to prevent spambots, and I haven't had a single automated sign-up in the 3 years I've had it. StopForumSpam is a seriously flawed service that is open to abuse (as I've experienced first hand), so I'll continue to attempt to educate people. It's quite simple to verify...
