Do you have a short fuse?

In context of running a community, youre almost required to have the patience of an angel. Having a short fuse is one of the fastest ways to sabotage your own relationships with members.

    Favorite Animal?

I adopted 2 kitties from the local animal shelter. They're so much fun, and they have such attitude but they're also so loving.

    Make you feel good?

This is, like, my exact checklist LOL Love long hot showers (or even soaking in the hot tub if I'm feeling extra). Sometimes it's the simple things that make you feel so refreshed.

How do you encourage user engagement and participation in your forum?

    Running too many forums?

This is a good topic! I feel like I am barely successful with my primary community (which has 50,000 members and still growing), and I spend all of my mental energy, time, and thought into thinking about what I can do better. I can't imagine people trying to open and run multiple communities...

What do you think about SMF

Some things to add. IPS has pushed multiple forum views for several years now, along with WBB, such as fluid forum, grid view, and now forum feed. These views emphasize the content more than the containers. Something to consider to modernize some of your forum index views. I will say that...

    Forum Services vs Forum Advertiser?

Just curious. I saw the pinned post for Forum Services on Forumotion. Is that the same as Forum Advertiser? Or a totally different site with a different team?

What do you think about SMF

Always have a place in my heart for SMF. My problem is that the pace of development is too slow. I'm at a point where I'd rather pay for paid software that is constantly being updated on a monthly / annual release cycle.

Own your own home or rent one?

Owning your own home has a lot of extra costs: property taxes, landscaping, general maintenance, repairs and upgrades of major appliances. Despite these costs, there's a sense of pride and ownership that come with owning a home that you don't always get with renting.
