    I only sell during a significant downturn period (like right now, in our current recession) or when a company is no longer viable. Time in the market beats the timing of the market.

    I don't trust the American government much at all. Almost every single politician in Washington is bought and paid for, on both sides.

    The minimum wage is too low. If we adjust for inflation, is it the lowest it has ever been, relatively speaking. That being said, local markets tend to better dictate "minimum wage." For example, the only way labor can be found in this market, is to offer semi-competitive wages.

    Yes, the rich in America DO NOT pay their fair share of taxes. I pay more (percentage-wise) than anyone on the American Forbes billionaire list.

    It's a multi-prong issue. There are a number of folks who don't want to work anymore, out of laziness, or because they got used to handouts. On the other hand, wages have stagnated significantly, in comparison to inflation levels and productivity levels. Etc.
