Do you get along with your family?

I talk to my mother. I am fairly close to my oldest brother. Everyone else, I don't really talk to. I have another brother I used to be fairly close to, but we haven't had much of a relationship in our adult lives. Maybe one day I will rekindle that, but, otherwise, I am happy with how I left...

Do you have a short fuse?

Sometimes. With some things. Not so much people. Video games, a bit. I feel like I used to have a worse temper (a trait I inherited), but when I found my independence, everything chilled out.

    How often do you shave?

I shave about once a month - I don't grow much of a beard (instead, I grow this Shaggy from Scooby Doo / goat pubes and leave it there), so I don't have to do all that much. Keep myself from getting a neck beard, keep myself from getting a uni-brow, and shave the Ash Ketchum cheeks.

    Graphic Software

When I first started with graphic design, I used a modded version of Gimp called Gimp Shop. It was basically a remixed version of the original software meant to mimic certain functionalities of Photoshop. Nowadays, normal Gimp already implements those functionalities by default, so it has become...

How old were you when you started working?

When I was sixteen, I had a job for all of two hours at a small restaurant. As far as I could tell, nothing bad happened. I started the same day as the interview and then, when I called them, they told me everything was fine, but that it would be on an "as needed basis", never went back. I...

    Website Mechanism Sounds

Interesting site. As an aside, I saw that you have some writing on your blogsite. I have a small publishing company called Mishmashers Publishing and we attend Comic Cons and Book Expos through the Midwest (we've attended Cons in Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana). One project we...

    How do you choose moderators?

Raffles. It's a terrible strategy, honestly. One time, I made a Nigerian Prince an Admin and he spammed up the place (thankfully, we must've really hit it off - he has a huge wealth and asked me of all people to help bring it to the States, I'm still awaiting the check to clear any day now).

    Chit Chat Zone

Last I heard the director of The Witch and The Lighthouse is making it. For other Universal Monster movie or Monster Movie adjacent films, the newer Invisible Man movie was very good.

What Do You Think is the Greatest Invention of all Time?

Penicillin. I would hate to have to use Quillicillian like they did in the olden days.

    Proboards

I like their logo and how they did the background. I know it's a small thing, and I don't know if anyone else actually cares, but it drives me crazy when a forum uses the default "New Topic" / "New Post" / or Forum icons.

    ZetaBoards

As far as free software that is hosted on a third-party server, I would say that Zetaboards was likely the best on the market - I had a soft spot for IPB Free (which is, I believe, about an equivalent to Jcink - I think that's still around) because it including a built-in Shoutbox and Arcade...

    vBulletin

I liked vBulletin when I used it. I will be honest, when I ran a forum with it, I wasn't as hands on as I was other times with other software, and I had other staff members who did a lot of the tweaks and adjustments for it. I eventually did learn the basics and get the hang of it. Overall, I...

What do you think about SMF

I have a lot of great memories with phpBB. I ran a couple forums with it, and found a couple themes I enjoyed. It, like so many others on the free market (and the premium market, for that matter), have an issue with options. I always used to feel so bothered when I would come across a dozen...

What do you think about SMF

It's perfectly fine if you like SMF software. I respect that, but I don't. I think, in fact, it is bad. And I think that should be okay too. And it isn't merely the default theme, I have run a forum of some kind off and on for the last sixteen-something years. I have never been able to find one...

What do you think about SMF

It's the general impression I have of it. Everything about it, really. Most of it is admittedly aesthetics rather than functionality. Of course, with any software, you can find work arounds for things. It's actually one of the best memories I have of running forums when I first started a...

What do you think about SMF

At the risk of being a naysayer, I have a fairly visceral reaction to SMF forums. I find it a little bit like hopping into a time-machine back to the MySpace days. It's a primitive, visually unappealing forum software in my opinion. A lot of times, the forum owners using the software are either...

    I Write Books.

It varies. We'd prefer to have all our books made by original and authentic book designers, but, in the last few months, that has become difficult. A.I. detection isn't perfect (I have tested, and had it come back with about fifty-fifty accuracy) and we have been screwed a few too many times...

    Short posts

What are you on about? I was responding to the topic's question. Not every thread warrants a discussion. Sometimes you don't need a long, drawn-out response. Sometimes, just sometimes, a short reply will suffice.

    Chit Chat Zone

Basically, it sifts through the litter, making it last longer, and it has a grate that combs through it after each use, bringing the feces to a container at the top of it. Add a trash bag liner to it, and now, all you have to do is discard the trash bag and replace it, and you're finished. A lot...
