    To some, the software is important. Nobody wants JHG forum software at their favorite forum when they've never heard of it. It's better to use mainstream, reputable software, not software that only programmers and administrators heard of.

    Depends what the forum is about, and who the general audience is. If it's a mature, professional forum, I get in the mature, professional mode. If it's a general community- I'll be general. It depends.

    I'm an administrator but like I always say: Don't be intimidated because I'm an administrator; I'm just another user except I'm constantly working the backend of the community.

    I don't like it. I think if you take time to register and post at somebody's forum, the least the members and owner can do is give the slightest personal touch to an introduction.

    I don't see the point in it. Thoughts come fast, and if you're like me - your brains works faster than anything else, and lose train of thought quickly.
