    Sounds like another ploy to stop piracy. I don't really game, but I can barely run RRO, much less some high end game that would have to come completely over a internet connection. Plus, I think that anyone else on the connection would start to detest you if you do that too much.

    I hope you feel better, Nebulous. I also wish I could tell you that what you're having is all right and will pass in a few hours or something, but out of all the stomach problems I've had, that hasn't been one of them.

    I permanently logged off of a forum where people were demanding respect and staff was trying to hide any sign of the fact members were unhappy about anything. People like that get on my nerves.

    My father smoked when he was young, but he was careful about it so that I didn't even know about it until long after he quit. If you have to smoke when you've got kids, that's the way to do it. Otherwise, ditto what everyone else and all of those commercials said.

    Not necessarily. I've seen cases where it is more 'the nerve of him cheating on me' than anything based on hurt feelings.

    Evil Eye has a good point. On the OT, though, I think it is rather refreshing to see an honest person who doesn't seem to want to further himself at the cost of others. Wish more people were like him.

    I think the lying to make someone feel better is fine under general use. It is no substitute, however, for communicating about a problem should one exist between you and the other party. Lying for neutral reasons, such as in the office to get things done that need to be done is dangerous...

    What can you say when such an event occurs and then 40 years later the guilty party comes up and says 'sorry'? I would compare this to a murderer coming back to a family all that time later and apologizing for PR reasons. I'm not really sure how to take it.

    Now it makes sense why Obama was preaching so highly about the war in Afghanistan. Just about money, like Bush and the Oil. My father said, sure, you can preach idealism all you want up at the pulpit, but you better make sure that your war is lining someone's pockets while you're doing it.
