    I've been around when a merge has happened, large and small merges. I have also merged forums myself and both times I am capable of coping with them and feel like each time it has bettered the forums.

    It really depends on the niche and for some niches I can understand why they block guests to view threads. I generally prefer and open community who shares with the entire public though. Much more friendly.

    A smoker, but I've quit smoking now so I guess it's kind of ok. I do still regret ever starting to smoke.
