    Spammers targeting sites grrrr

    I just banned someone two minutes after they made their first spammy thread joshalters are you IP banning them or do you jsut ban the username and email? In some forum systems you can ban an entire email domain so you could ban those temporary mail emails.

    Thank you If you mean dofollow, it's just the absence of the nofollow tag on links. When a search engine like Google visits a site they see the links as votes to another page/site. If there is a nofollow tag that tells search engines to ignore the link - so there is no vote for that site...

    I use IP.B on my own forum so I'm familiar with it But you know what you guys should do? You should turn off nofollow for external links. It's a setting in the control panel.
