Officers and emergency crews arrived and found Thomas, of Phoenix, with a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

I wonder if the owner of the gun will have his license revoked for negligence? In my opinion, that should be done at the very least. Leaving a gun out in the open, no matter what, is stupid.
